Privacy Policy

Finance Hero ("we", "our") provides software that lets automotive Finance & Insurance professionals ("Users") follow up with their own customers. This Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights available to you under U.S. state privacy laws — including the California Consumer Privacy Act / CPRA, Virginia CDPA, Colorado CPA, Connecticut CTDPA, Utah UCPA, and comparable statutes in other states.

1. Information we collect

From Users (account holders)

• Account info: name, email, password (hashed), dealership name, job title, office phone, profile photo.
• Billing info: processed by our payment processor; we store limited metadata (last four digits, plan, status).
• Usage info: log data, device info, IP address, timestamps.

From User customers ("end customers")

Users upload contact information about their own customers so Finance Hero can send them follow-up offers. This may include name, email, phone, vehicle, delivery date, and product preferences. For this data Finance Hero acts as a service provider / processor on behalf of the User.

2. How we use information

• Provide, secure, and improve the Service.
• Send transactional emails, offers, and reminders as configured by the User.
• Process payments and manage subscriptions.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. When we share information

• Service providers that help us operate Finance Hero (hosting, database, email delivery, payment processing, error monitoring). They are contractually restricted to using information only to provide services to us.
• Legal & safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights, property, and safety.
• Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate protections.

4. Retention

We keep account information while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and audit obligations. Customer Data is retained for as long as the User keeps it in the Service and is deleted on the User's instruction or a reasonable time after account termination.

5. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security in our database, and least-privilege service credentials. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your privacy rights

Depending on your state you may have the right to:

• Access or receive a copy of your personal information.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your information.
• Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share as those terms are defined).
• Limit use of sensitive personal information.
• Appeal a denied request.
• Be free from retaliation for exercising these rights.

End customers who received a follow-up email through Finance Hero should submit privacy requests to the dealership that contacted them; Finance Hero will assist as a service provider. To exercise rights or ask questions, email privacy@financehero.app.

Finance Hero does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices change, we will provide a functional opt-out link here.

7. Children

The Service is for business use and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information.

8. International users

Finance Hero is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

9. Communications and unsubscribe

Follow-up emails sent through Finance Hero include a one-click unsubscribe link, in compliance with CAN-SPAM. Clicking it stops future follow-up emails to that recipient.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notifying Users by email or in-app.
